TKR Gel (Hyytel\u00f6) 2 and Gel (Hyytel\u00f6) 4 are two-component, natural oil-based coatings used with TKR Basic coating in various TKR methods. TKR gels have a higher viscosity than the Basic coating and are used to increase film thickness, and for coating sloping and vertical surfaces. It is recommended to use TKR Basic coating as a primer for the different methods because of its adhesion and absorption properties, followed by TKR Gels.<\/p>\n
As such, the Gel is suitable for various types of sealing, patching and filling jobs. They can be painted on and adhere well to various types of mortar and screed. TKR Gels are odourless and can be used in food production areas or customer premises, for example, even if the premises are occupied.<\/p>\n
By varying the proportions of the two components, the coating batch used can be made soft and stretchy, for example for expansion joints and structural junctions, or hard and rigid for wear\u00ad resistant surfaces such as floors. Mixing can be done on site.<\/p>\n
There are two packaging types for TKR Gel; factory pre-weighed which do not need to be weighed on site and self-weighing which requires the use of a digital scale for batches<\/p>\n
